We have been a leading “Folder Cutting Stick” supplier to the OEM and the print industry for over 15 years. These sticks are of a moulded construction that has been proven to give exceptional performance. With ever increasing press speeds it is important press consumables meet the exacting demands put on them and to this end we have developed a range of new sticks that can match these requirements.
The new HS range is designed to cope with press speed in excess of 70,000 copies per hour.
For the past 10 years “SunBlades” have proven to be a popular retro fit on the press. The SunBlade is a segmented ink blade that is designed to replace the existing ink duct blade. By segmenting the ink blade to exactly mirror your ink keys the blade can give extremely accurate ink distribution reducing the amount of ink on press. This leads to reduced waste and damp levels and a cleaner press. The SunBlade allows you to control each column independently, so allowing for true press presetting.
Just imagine - a Sun Chemical PrintCare washcloth. This non-woven fabric, consisting of cellulose and polyester, has been especially developed for automatic blanket cleaning within print presses.
Then there are Sun Chemical PrintCare Winders for dry cassettes in use in auto blanket systems. Wind your own and save money! The PrintCare winders are available for presses from most popular manufacturers.

AVARIETY OF ROLLER SERVICE OPTIONS TO KEEP YOUR PRINTING PRESSES HUMMING
Sun Chemical has added printing rollers to its already extensive range of available printing pressroom products. All rollers are delivered with new or fully reconditioned cores and can come fitted with new bearings.
These technologically advanced rollers offer a number of attributes, including extended longevity, high tolerance to adverse temperature conditions, exceptional resistance to abrasion and chemical exposure, tough build quality, high dynamic stability and very attractive value for money. The range of rollers available also includes Rilsan or plastic-covered rollers, automatic brush blanket wash rollers, foam rollers, hickey picker rollers and alcohol-reducing rollers.
A full range of roller services is offered. The “Press-ready Service” allows you to receive a single roller or full sets, with bearings fitted, ready for mounting onto your press. The “Exchange Service” is similar to the above, but the roller core discount is credited back to you upon receipt of your old undamaged roller. If you unknowingly return a damaged roller, Sun Chemical will send you a damage report and repair cost estimate. The “Recovery Service” means that we use your cores and recover them with our rubber. We return the cores with bearings fitted if required. We also offer a “Full Roller Reconditioning Service”.
A new service is the supply of completely new rollers. These are available in a number of sizes and qualities.
Many rollers are available the next day. Recovered rollers are obtainable within ten working days.

 SILICONES
A RICH COCKTAIL OF SILICONES TO KEEP YOUR POST-PRINT ACTIVITIES SMOOTH
Sun Chemical can provide you with a rich choice of high-quality silicone products to meet the very specific needs of your post-print operations.
These concentrated, low-viscosity silicones are used to provide better slip, reduce static, prevent marking, add rub resistance, or enhance gloss.
At the same time, the low viscosity coupled with high solids (where appropriate) allows for an economical use of silicone while reducing silicone fly and permitting greater print mileage.
The silicones we supply are a blend of high quality silicone oils, compounds and surfactants, diluted with water to form a stable emulsion for a variety of printing operations. They may also contain antistatic agents such as wax for optimized slip and rub characteristics. Some silicones also contain patented optical brighteners to enhance printed copy.
Sun Chemical Silicones are available in a variety of sizes – typically 10 l, 25 l, 200 l barrels and 1000 l plastic IBCs. All our silicones comply with current European guidelines, and carry full health and safety data sheets.

 WASHES
PREMIUM WATER AND NON-WATER MISCIBLE WASHES TO BOOST THE HEALTH OF YOUR BLANKETS AND ROLLERS
Sun Chemical offers a number of proprietary and non-proprietary washes to be used specifically on press blankets and press rollers to remove glaze, blanket piling and lint. These include A II, A III and Non VOC wash products, and specialty cleaning products and deglazers. This range of premium washes is either water miscible or non-water miscible and is number-coded for easy selection of the most suitable product.
Our washes are plate-safe unless otherwise stated. They are manufactured to the latest health and safety regulations. Some innovations include: non-aromatic roller cleaning agents to reduce the amount of swell on softer roller compounds; another is an A III roller and blanket cleaning agent to meet the machine manufacturers’ requirements and the HSE guide lines for the handling and storage of non-flammable products. The latter agent also supports the local authorities’ objective to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOC) levels.
We are working on future solutions that will be unique, safe and easy to use. These include the “Calaway” range of washes, designed to help keep calcium under control and a series of new water-based washes.
